What are spurs?

Spurs are common and are tough flaps of dried died skin that are attached to your guinea pigs feet.

Spurs are normally not painful and can easily be removed by a pair of nail clippers but being careful to not clip to close as it could bleed..

Spurs don't seem to be caused by the type of bedding used some people believe that a combination of activity level,  genetics and husbandry may all contribute to the development of spurs.
